Synopsis: Telling Secrets, a feature length documentary by filmmaker G.P. Quinlan, takes the audience on a 4 year journey to better understand the complicated and often secretive world of adoption. Seen through the viewpoint of 4 adult adoptees, Gia, Cindy, Cindy Lou and Cousin Sheila, the contrasting stories crisscross the United States touching on the complexities of issues such as identity, family relationships, personal responsibility and the impact adoption has had on adult adoptees raising their own children.

Through these very personal stories, adopted families, birth parents and ultimately the adoptees themselves begin to realize that selfless or selfish love doesn’t end when court papers are finalized and a baby shifts to a new home. Instead the story continues evolving, changing and maturing as does the baby itself, culminating with the life changing decision all adoptees must make to either search for their birth families or, in essence, answer their own life questions.
